If you've never participated in one they are fantastic! Some help give your reading some focus, some encourage you to try new genres, authors and read outside your comfort zone, some challenge you to clear out your never ending TBR pile, and they all get you reading more. 

I'm getting started a little late this year but not going to let that deter me and have signed up for the following reading challenges:
